CITY OF ESCALON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Escalon City Council will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 2060 McHenry Ave., Escalon, California, on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 7:00 PM to receive and consider evidence and reports relative to the following matters: DECLARING ITS INTENT FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE CITY OF ESCALON'S MAINTENANCE DISTRICTS. THE DISTRICTS ARE IDENTIFIED AS: Belleterra Landscape and Lighting District No. 01-1 Sunrise Landscape and Lighting District No. 96-1 Westwood Country Landscape and Lighting District No. 02-1 The Estates Landscape and Lighting District No. 06-1 The Estates Benefit Assessment District No. 06-1 The April 15, 2024 Escalon City Council Agenda included action items (Resolution Numbers 08-24 through 22-24) directing Harris & Associates to file the Annual Engineer's Reports for the aforementioned maintenance districts in accordance with the provisions of the Landscaping & Lighting Act of 1972, the Benefit Assessment Act of 1982 and Proposition 218. If you wish to challenge the nature of the above actions in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Escalon, at or prior to the public hearing. All interested parties are invited to attend said hearing and express opinions or submit evidence for or against the proposal as outlined above.
