DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT NOTICE OF PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT AN INITIAL STUDY / NEGATIVE DECLARATION (ND) FOR THE MANTECA CLIMATE ACTION PLAN UPDATE Notice is hereby given that the City of Manteca, as lead agency, has prepared an Initial Study / Negative Declaration (ND) for the Climate Action Plan Update. The ND analyzes the potential environmental effects associated with the proposed document in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). In accordance with Section 15072 of the CEQA Guidelines, the City of Manteca has prepared this Notice of Intent (NOI) to provide responsible agencies and other interested parties with notice of the availability of the ND and to solicit comments and concerns regarding the environmental issues associated with the proposed project. PROJECT TITLE: Manteca Climate Action Plan Update PROJECT LOCATION: Citywide, including City Limits, Sphere of Influence and greater Planning Area. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND HAZARDOUS WASTE SITES: The ND is pertaining only to the adoption of a policy-level document and is not related to any specific proposed development. Therefore, there are no hazardous materials or hazardous waste sites to account for.
