PUBLIC NOTICE SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 1209 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 36 OF TITLE 9, CHAPTER 3 OF THE LOS BANOS MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING MOBILE FOOD VENDING On September 3, 2025 the Los Banos City Council introduced Ordinance No. 1209, which if adopted will amend Article 36 of Title 9, Chapter 3 of the Los Banos Municipal Code relating to mobile food vending. A copy of the complete text of the Ordinance is on file with the City Clerk, at 520 J Street. The key provision of the proposed ordinance are: 1) will add provisions to the current mobile food vending ordinance allowing the use of limited temporary furniture (tables, chairs, and canopies), provided such items are removed at the end of each business day, and prohibits permanent structures in connection with a mobile food vending business; and 2) establishes provisions to the current mobile food vending ordinance allowing the development of a mobile food truck park through a Conditional Use Permit in any zoning district where mobile food vending is permitted, subject to site development and operational requirements The Ordinance shall go into effect and be in full force and operation thirty (30) days after its final passage and adoption.
