Public Notice September 26, 2025 | Provisional Appointment of Board Member Escalon Unified School District 1520 Yosemite Ave. Escalon, CA 95320 Notice of Vacancy on the Escalon Unified School District Board of Education and Provisional Appointment of Board Member A vacancy occurred on the Escalon Unified School District Board of Education by the passing of Board member John R. Largent, July 27, 2025. Mr. Largent represented Trustee Area 5. On September 18, 2025, the Board provisionally appointed Travis Cardoza to fill the vacancy caused by Mr. Largent, until the next regularly scheduled election for Escalon Unified School District Board members in November 2026. Mr. Cardoza will be administered the oath of office at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Unless a petition calling for a special election pursuant to Education Code Section 5091, containing sufficient number of signatures, is filed in the District Superintendent within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment, it shall become final.
